Our Parish Priest

Fr. Andrew Otto

Father Andrew grew up in Cumberland, RI. Throughout his youth he attended the Church of the Annunciation in Cranston, RI. He was actively involved in the church life there, as well as at the Metropolis of Boston Camp in Contoocook, NH, where he met his future wife, Jennifer.
Beginning in 2007, Father Andrew spent 12 years serving in various ways: staff member, Boys’ Director, Assistant Director, and kitchen manager. The best years were those serving alongside Presbytera Jennifer. Since 2019, they have been offering training sessions to the staff on a number of topics and they continue to be a supporting presence at the camp for both the campers and the staff members.
After studying mathematics and education at Northeastern University, Father Andrew attended Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. He moved to New Hampshire in 2016 and married his wonderful Presbytera Jennifer in 2017. He taught high school mathematics from 2016 until 2023, while serving as the chanter at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Father Andrew and Presbytera Jen began raising their two sons, John and Benjamin at St. George.
He was ordained to the diaconate on October 30, 2023 at St. George Cathedral by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios. He was ordained to the priesthood at the St. George Chapel at the Metropolis of Boston Camp on Meatfare Sunday, February 19, 2024 by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios.
Father Andrew and Presbytera Jennifer were assigned to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Manchester, NH on September 1, 2024.

Classes on our Faith

Bible Study: Central to our Orthodox Faith, this ministry engages us in a verse-by-verse reading, commentary, and discussion of the Scriptures. Join us on Thursdays at either 11:00 am or 7:00 pm in the classroom building as we seek a deeper understanding of the Word of God.

Catechism: From the Greek word κατηχισμός which means instruction by word of mouth. This is simply learning about our faith tradition. This is for those who wish to learn more about our deep and rich faith. Come and join us if you would like to become a member of the faith! Come and join us if you are already baptized and chrismated; there is a lot more to learn! We meet from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the fourth Tuesday of every month in the narthex of the church building.
